Flashback Friday: Our Favorite Frames

Maybe it’s the changing seasons (hello summer!) or the school year coming to an end, but we’re feeling a little nostalgic lately. So, we decided to look back at some of the most inspiring framing projects we’ve taken on here at Simply Framed. Bringing beauty and joy into your space is what we’re about, and we are constantly inspired by the amazing images we’ve framed and the fun environments that our customers have created. These beauties might just motivate you get started on a framing project of your own this weekend!

1. Orlando Soria’s LA Bachelor Pad

Nothing like a newly designed living room to brighten yourself up post breakup. Homepolish creative director and Hommemaker founder Orlando Soria commissioned us to float Erika Gragg’s eye-popping works in our White Gallery frames, and the result was a sunny, soothing space.

2. Athens-Based Artwork For John Derian

Sometimes more is more. Just take the project we did for one of our favorite NYC shops, John Derian. Our Gallery frame in Natural Wood was the perfect display for the work of Athens-based fine artists Susan Hable of Hable Construction and photographer Rinne Allen. Enter: the gallery wall of our dreams, perfectly setting off the boutique's artsy, vintage character.

3. Jonathan Lo’s Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton Scarf

If any fashion partnership ever reached EPIC status, it was Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton. So, we understood completely when Happy Mundane blogger Jonathan Lo asked us to frame his very own scarf from the dynamic duo. The end result (just like the collab itself) is one for the ages.

4. Dabito's Textural Fiber Artworks
Simply Framed Diabito

We were so excited when New-Orleans based graphic designer, art director, and blogger behind Old Brand New, Dabito, asked us to frame some of his own fiber art. The textural, graphic works are sheer perfection in our Light Walnut Gallery frames, and play nicely with Dabito’s mid-century furniture and minimalist vibe.

5. Our Very Own Daisy Briceno's Cat Portrait

Frames are all about showcasing and celebrating the things that matter most to us. For our head of operations, Daisy Briceno, that would be her adopted cat, Pixel. “He's my favorite thing in the world,” she told us. So, only natural that she chose our Light Walnut Gallery frame to display a watercolored portrait of the stately feline by artist Gabi Bello.

6. Joy Cho's Daughter's Colorful Painting

Custom framing your children’s art is an affordable way to liven up any interior. Case in point: Oh Joy! blogger Joy Cho’s daughter’s expressionist painting, which made for a sentimental and fun piece in our White Gallery frame.

7. Chassity Evans' Personal Art Collection

We were so happy to help Look Linger Love blogger Chassity Evans frame some of her favorite pieces for her Charleston home. Even more reason to love this project: Two of Chassity's works were from artists NG Collective and Danielle Kroll, who we love and frame for regularly. Here's to keeping it in the family!

8. Cat Dash's Gallery WallCat Dash Simply FramedPhoto by Genevieve Garruppo for Lonny.

When Lonny market editor Cat Dash was dreaming up her new living room, she called on us for help. The gorgeous gallery wall that resulted really showed how a variety of framing styles lend a multi-dimensional element, and incorporated our Black Canvas Float frame, White and Black Gallery frames, and Black and Antique Gold Certificate frame.

9. Rebeca Raney's Whimsical Illustrations
Rebeca Raney Simply Framed

You can bet that if our online gallery partner Uprise Art is involved it’s going to be amazing, and this pop-up with artist Rebeca Raney was no exception. Our Gallery frames in White let Rebeca’s whimsical characters take center stage.
