Flowers for an Evening
by Blue Myers
Flowers for an Evening began as a cyanotype — the tulips were exposed directly onto UV-sensitized paper using the 19th-century photographic process that produces cyanotype's characteristic Prussian blue. The original print was then built out through collage, adding physical dimension and layered botanical elements by hand, and brought to final resolution through digital finishing. Each stage of the work is visible in the result: the photographic precision of the cyanotype ground, the tactile depth of the collage, and the luminous detail of the finished composition. Limited edition of 500.
