Providing beautiful custom frames for our customers has been our modus operandi from day one. And while we always take personal style into account, it turns out that there are some basic rules about how to frame artwork that stay pretty consistent.
Dara gave her pro insight into making your art look its best!
Our Founder and CEO, Dara Deshe Segal (along with Elizabeth Goldfeder, owner of GK Framing) recently broke down key guidelines for framing your artwork in Architectural Digest, and the advice is not to be missed. It’s all about balancing timelessness with taste. While your preferences are important, it’s most vital to choose a frame that matches your art, not the surrounding space. A classic frame—such as our Gallery Frame in White, Black, or Natural—with a white or cream mat means that even as your decor changes, the piece will still look good. Same goes for more rustic, antique-inspired frame styles, such as our Heritage Frame in Vintage Gold and our Certificate Frame in Antique Silver.
