Resplendence

Resplendence was created in scratchboard by removing the black ink off of the surface of the panel with a sewing needle to expose the white china clay layer underneath. A male and a female ruby-throated hummingbird are hovering in mid-air about to drink nectar from fuchsia pink crape myrtle blossoms. Resplendence is a reminder to slow down and pay attention to beauty. Beauty is a gift from God and a pathway to peace. Brief encounters with these intercontinental travelers only punctuates the brevity of life.
