Since being named among Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in the Art and Style category in 2016, Sophie Elgort’s portfolio of work has only become more impressive. Her arresting images can be seen everywhere from Rolling Stone to The Financial Times—to, naturally, her own home.
We’ve long been fans of Sophie’s work (to the point where we asked her to speak as part of our Meet The Experts Breakfast series at MoMa Design Store earlier this year) and were honored when she chose us to custom frame a very special piece for her home. Read on for more.
Who: Internationally acclaimed Photographer and director Sophie Elgort.
What: A photograph, Hikari in Central Park, that Sophie shot for Elle Japan in 2018 and that we custom framed in our White Gallery Frame.
From Sophie: “Shooting with film is one of the things I'm most passionate about. I could never paint well, so this is my version of painting. I've always loved the feeling of this photo, and felt that it would look nice in our home. When it came time to fill the space above the piano, I immediately thought of this piece. Simply Framed custom framed the print in a White Gallery Frame with a mat. I chose the White Gallery because I wanted to keep things simple and thought the minimalist frame would nicely complement the colors in the image.”
