Who: Christin Chang, the designer behind Chrisu, a line of beautiful, hand-illustrated silk scarves.
What: A family portrait that Christin drew in school when she was four years old. She chose to float it in our white gallery frame in order to highlight the paper's texture and uneven edges.
From Christin: My mom saved this drawing in particular because she thought it was funny (and flattering). I must have loved my mom more at the time because I drew her so tall and like a queen! My dad is the tallest one out of all of us, but I drew him the same size as my two year old sister. Sorry Dad!
I recently began pursuing my formal career as a textile designer with Chrisu, and I thought it would be nice to hang this—my first completed work of art—in my studio.
