2016 RECAP…A LITTLE LATE
Posted by Dara Segal on Jan 18, 2017
Okay, so we might be a little late to the party on this one, but we figured even mid-January is a wonderful time to look back and acknowledge all that we have to be grateful for. When it comes to continuing our Simply Framed mission of delivering #happywalls and helping you preserve the art and memories you love most—plus helping our professional clients grow their businesses in new ways—2016 was our best year yet! And 2017 has already been 🍌bananas🍌 in the best way, with so much good stuff happening that we aren’t posting our end of year recap until now ;)
A few months ago, we launched our Print & Frame service, helping transform your digital photos into custom framed works of art with just a few clicks. The positive feedback we’ve received regarding the new service continues to inspire us; our jaws dropped when Maxwell Ryan, founder of the inimitable Apartment Therapy, wrote us to say, “Just used your print and frame system and it's the best I've seen. GOOD work!” We also introduced press framing, helping you custom frame your most exciting accomplishments and achievements. To get all this—and more—accomplished, we added rockstar talent to the Simply Framed team and moved our frame shop from Miami, Florida to Maumee, Ohio. The move has both improved our turnaround times and streamlined our production processes, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to say hello to the Buckeye state!
Looking back, the best parts of the year were being part of so many meaningful framing stories and working with a wide variety of brilliant artists, businesses and collaborators across the country, from teaming up with West Elm to offer made-to-order frames to traveling across the country to present custom framed artwork at some wonderful events, including NADA Miami Beach and Brandshop in NOLA, Atlanta and Charlotte. Plus, we continued to give back through charitable partnerships, donating frames to organizations like Free Arts NYC, Pencils of Promise, The Posters and UNICEF to raise money for important causes.
We're looking forward to more exciting growth to come—and seeing all of the beautiful walls you create in 2017 (head over to SimplyFramed.com to kick it off). Happy (belated) New Year!
